MY PROFILE

My name is Taylor Dunlop-Trottier, I’m a Metis woman who studied and graduated from Arizona State University with a BFA in Painting. Growing up on the Turtle Mountain Reservation in North Dakota provided me with ample inspiration as I love including my culture's stories and people in my art.

When looking at artwork that includes a figure, our eyes almost always start at the face. It's the first thing we tend to notice, and for me it's where I find my muse for every art piece. I am passionate about portraiture, finding inspiration in the colors and hues on our faces: scars, bruises, make-up, or simply unique lighting. I embrace the bright and vivid colors we all have in our skin and share it with the world.
